JA Chowdary is the IT Advisor and Special Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, India. He is the Chairman of AP IT & Electronics Promotions Society and leads the innovation initiatives for building smart villages, smart towns and smart cities across the state. He is a unique blend of being a technology entrepreneur, corporate executive and bureaucrat. He is one of the key architects of the Hi-Tech City & Cyberabad in Hyderabad and also for IIIT, Hyderabad. JA is also credited with developing the IT industry in the states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu and has received several prestigious awards for his work. He co-founded companies such as Portal Player - the inventor of the core chip for Apple iPod, Talent-Sprint, Metamor Enterprises Solutions and others. He was the managing Director of Nvidia Graphics in India. He was the founding President of TiE-Hyderabad. He also contributed to several reputed organizations like the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO),Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Department Of Electronics (DOE), Software Technology Parks Of India (STPI). JA played a crucial role in the establishment Hyderabad Software Exporters Association-HYSE,  and AMCHAM (Association Of American Companies, Hyderabad) and various other organizations. He was also the Co-Chairman of FICCI AP Chapter.
